Conservation / TPO

Trees are an undeniable natural wonder, lending beauty to any landscape, but older specimens or rarer species can often be subject to local authority Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs). Many trees are also protected by being situated in a wider conservation area. Any tree, if left unmanaged, can become unsightly and invasive, and may even be dangerous to both people and property, and so should be dealt with by a professional. However, if that tree is in a conservation area or is protected by a Tree Preservation Order, then the tree management services of a skilled tree surgeon are absolutely essential. Even if the tree concerned is on your own property, and work is carried out without securing the necessary consents from the local authority planning department or tree officer, then large fines and penalties can be incurred. As an experienced, qualified and fully insured tree surgeon, I am fully conversant with the necessary permissions and applications required to work on trees covered by TPOs or trees which fall under the protection of a wider conservation area. Mark Fiddes Treeworks Ltd is based in Somerset and covers Burnham on sea, Weston-Super-Mare, Portishead, Clevedon, Nailsea, Bridgwater, Street, Glastonbury, Wells, Taunton and areas further afield in the south-west.

TESTIMONIALS

Quick and Professional

Mark was quick to respond and eager to give a quote. I got the impression that no job was too big or too small. The quote was very reasonable and he promised to do the job within 3 days. He actually managed 2 days and was quick, professional and cleared all debris away. I would definitely use him again.

Superb Service

Superb service. Mark and the team turned up on time, completed all the requested work (and more), in extremely wet conditions, but did so quickly and tidied up thoroughly afterwards. They were efficient, professional and did a first rate job. Would highly recommend.
